Posted on · The City of Houston figures to spend upwards of $1 million on a six-block stretch of Houston Avenue near downtown, including $100,000 in December to install medians and curbs, $230,000 to reverse the previous work and an additional $500,000 to repave the street with new asphalt. A local transportation advocacy group called it "wasting taxpayer dollars."
