U.S. 5th Circuit sets Galveston County redistricting case appeal for May 2024

Posted on · The U.S. Fifth Circuit stayed a lower court’s order that the county redraw its political maps to comply with the Voting Rights Act. The deadline is rapidly approaching for candidates to file to run for Galveston County Precinct 3 commissioner, the position at the center of the lawsuit.
