Galveston Farm Raises a Unique Crop: Endangered Sea Turtles

Posted on · In Galveston, the NOAA Fisheries Service runs the only farm of its kind in the world: they raise sea turtles. The reptiles are cared for with one goal in mind: to protect the species amid commercial fishing. Sea turtles are older than the dinosaurs and currently endangered.
