Posted on · The "Return" of the "Great" "Wizard" This weekend we'll explore three soundtracks from films that capture the wonder of L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: The Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz, Oz the Great and Powerful. The three composers, Harold Arlen, David Shire, and Danny Elfman each put their own voice into the music. The latter two did not play off of the themes set by Arlen, rather they drew from Baum's novel for their inspiration. Tune in this Saturday at 8pm or Sunday at 5pm.
