New $9 million water pumps in Sugar Land expected to mitigate flooding

Posted on May 26, 2023 · The three new pumps will increase water-pumping capacity to about 230,000 gallons per minute in the Riverstone area, where more than 600 homes flooded during Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

Fort Bend voters pass $1.26 billion bond to go toward construction, technology improvements
