Are Katy ISD trustees more concerned with culture wars than student outcomes?

Posted on · The district of 94,000-plus students in a burgeoning suburb west of Houston, which has come under scrutiny for its policies related to library books and LGBTQ+ issues, is considering a gender fluidity policy that, among other things, would allow teachers to refuse students' requests to be addressed by their preferred pronouns and require educators to notify students' parents if they make such requests.
