Posted on December 1, 2023 · The Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus and Reyes-Revilla endorser Adrian Garcia both condemned a Thursday mailer that shows Reyes-Revilla with her husband and two kids juxtaposed with a photo of Castillo and his husband. Reyes-Revilla says she supports the LGBTQ community.

Posted on November 30, 2023 · Community members are provided free rides to places like the grocery store, doctor's appointments, pharmacies, and other locations. About 30% of households in Third Ward do not have a vehicle.

Houston officials create truck route plan, limiting 18 wheelers on certain city streets

Posted on November 29, 2023 · The city will designate certain roads as truck routes, preventing big trucks with three or more axles or weighing more than 26,000 pounds from driving on smaller streets, with the exception of deliveries being performed.

Houston City Council members proposing ordinance to address skyrocketing water bills

Posted on November 22, 2023 · The agenda item proposed by Carolyn Evans-Shabazz, Mary Nan Huffman and Amy Peck is currently under review by the city's legal department before it can be placed on a future council agenda. If approved, it would decrease the timeframe the public works department has to correct erroneous water bills, unless it's in the customer's favor.
