Houston attorney accused of smuggling over 150 drug-laced papers into the Harris County Jail

Posted on November 21, 2023 · Authorities say 77-year-old defense attorney Ronald Lewis allegedly delivered papers laced with ecstasy and synthetic marijuana to incarcerated people during multiple in-person visits at the Harris County Jail. Lewis was arrested last Friday.

Cleveland ISD to distribute free Narcan after string of opioid overdoses among students

Posted on September 27, 2023 · Wednesday marked the eighth time since school started in August that the school district northeast of Houston called EMS personnel to treat a high school student who had overdosed on drugs. Narcan, an emergency overdose treatment, was administered to four of those students.
