Former secretary at Houston elementary school accused of starting fire on campus

Posted on December 21, 2022 · Adriana Castorena-Narvaez, 49, has been charged with arson and also is part of an ongoing probe about money missing from Houston ISD's Barrick Elementary, according to Harris County court documents.

Posted on March 10, 2023 · HISD trustees voted Thursday to end their legal fight against a potential state takeover of the school board after a recent Texas Supreme Court decision sided with the Texas Education Agency.

Posted on March 9, 2023 · The Houston ISD school won its only state title in 1946. At that time the Golden Eagles competed in the Prairie View Interscholastic League, an organization for Texas' Black schools.
