Posted on · November is National Diabetes month and Texas has some of the highest incidence rates for diabetes in the nation. Much of this is due to the state's changing demographics: an aging population and ethnic makeup. There is no known cure but all forms of diabetes are treatable.

A survey by the American Diabetes Association found that less than half of the respondents knew that the disease kills more people than breast cancer and aids combined.
