Teen Invents High-Tech Water Filter Using Nanotechnology

Posted on June 12, 2014 · We learn about Perry Alagappan, a 17-year-old junior at Clear Lake High School, who recently won the Best of Category Award in Environmental Sciences at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Alagappan’s project: he invented a filter that uses carbon nanotubes to remove toxic metals from water.
