Posted on May 24, 2023 · Senate Bill 736, sponsored by Houston mayoral candidate John Whitmire, would help bring resolution to a longstanding labor dispute between the city and its firefighters. The bill passed the Texas Senate and House and now needs a signature by Gov. Greg Abbott to immediately become state law.

Pappas Restaurants moving out of Hobby Airport after judge again denies TRO against City of Houston

Posted on May 5, 2023 · The Houston-based restaurant group refiled its lawsuit against the city and a competing concessionaire this week, making new allegations. But after a request for a temporary restraining order was denied for a second time, Pappas will move out of Hobby Airport by May 11 as requested by the city.
