As Director of Content, Dennis Foley leads the talk show team at Houston Public Media.
Prior to joining Houston Public Media in 2023, Dennis was the News Director at KTSA in San Antonio where he played a significant role in the revitalization of a heritage radio brand — building the best-performing news radio station in San Antonio. In his news role, Dennis was twice awarded “Best Radio Newscast” by Texas Associated Press Broadcasters in 2019 and 2020, runner-up for “Best Radio Website” by Texas Associated Press Broadcasters in 2020, and was named “Best Radio Reporter” by the Texas Association of Broadcasters in 2023. Additionally, he was the Executive Producer of nationally-syndicated talk show “Markley, van Camp and Robbins,” a digital editorial consultant for KTFM and KJXK, and currently continues to be a frequently used Texas-based freelance reporter for ABC News Radio and CBS News Radio.
Before his arrival to Texas, Dennis was a reporter and editor at WTOP in Washington, DC; a news and digital director at WGMD in Rehoboth Beach, DE; a morning show co-host and anchor/reporter at KEEL in Shreveport, LA; and additional roles at New Hampshire Public Radio, ABC News Radio in New York, and WRIV in Riverhead, New York, while in college.
Originally from New York and New Hampshire, Dennis studied journalism and political science at Hofstra University and was the news director at the university’s award-winning, student-run WRHU.
