Camille Nelson has served on Houston Public Media’s Member Relations team since 2019. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Her employment history includes seven years in retail sales, six years in the United States Army Reserve, fifteen years as a dental assistant, and ten years as an academic editor. Camille attended college as a nontraditional student, graduating from Clemson University in 2009 with a BA in English Writing and Publication Studies as well as a minor in Business and Technical Writing. She has run a marathon, jumped out of airplanes, hiked to the top of Machu Picchu and the bottom of the Grand Canyon, written thirteen book indexes, lived in six states, and qualified as an expert with a grenade launcher. She has both a passion and a knack for problem solving.
