Houston area Downton Abbey fans get a sneak peak of Season 5.

On Saturday, December 6, Houston Public Media hosted Downton Day at three theaters across Houston.

Over 1000 “Downton Abbey” fans came out to catch a sneak preview of the Season 5 premiere. The screenings were held in Tomball, Richmond and at the University of Houston.

Fans dressed up for a Downton-themed costume contest, and the winners received two season passes to the weekly tapings of Houston Public Media’s popular “Downton Abbey” talk show, “Manor of Speaking”. The winners of the contest included Georgeine Foster, Sarah Aaron, Rhonda Landers and George Fontinos.

Stars from “Manor of Speaking,” Ernie Manouse, St.John Flynn, Helen Mann and the trusty butler Mr. Rodgers, mingled with fans before and after the screenings.
