The Eurovision Song Contest is an international songwriting competition, featuring participants from countries in Europe and across the world. Occurring annually since 1956, it's the longest-running annual internationally televised music competition in the world.

For the full hour, we're joined by William Lee Adams, the founder and editor of Wiwibloggs, the most-followed independent website and YouTube channel devoted to Eurovision.

Adams shares his thoughts on this year's 2023 Eurovision competition, taking place in Liverpool, as well as his insight on the history of the international song contest and its significance.

He also discusses his upcoming memoir Wild Dances: My Queer and Curious Journey to Eurovision, which details his early childhood growing up as a queer, biracial kid from small-town Georgia, to becoming the world's most sought-after expert on Eurovision.

Wild Dances: My Queer and Curious Journey to Eurovision, is set for release on May 9, 2023, wherever books are sold.
