January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It's the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, and is a day dedicated to honoring the six million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust.

We speak with the Director of Education for the Holocaust Museum Houston, who talks about the museum's dedication to educating people about the Holocaust and what the dangers of hatred and prejudice can lead to.

We also speak with Dr. Anna Steinberger who shares her story of survival through the Holocaust, and how she came to America following the end of the war. She also shares advice on what we can learn from tolerance and understanding.

Plus, the Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) discusses the rise of antisemitism and authoritarianism in the U.S. and throughout the world, and the organization's mission to fight against extremism to protect our democracy.

Holocaust Museum Houston has free resources for teachers and students. For more information on their online resources for educators, click here, and for students, click here.
