The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced their nominations for the 94th Academy Awards – starting the debate about who will win this year's Oscars.
It seems that this year's Oscar favorite is The Power of the Dog – the movie that leads the field with 12 nominations.
Some films and performances weren't so lucky though. With Lady Gaga being overlooked for her role in House of Gucci, it seems to have caused a chaotic Best Actress race. However, when it comes to Hollywood and the Oscars commitment to diversity and inclusion, it looks like they're heading in the right direction when it comes to women, African Americans, and Latinos this year.
Who are you routing for?
Who do you think was snubbed?
In this episode , film industry experts share their insight the recent Oscar nominations, while our listeners chime in on what they feel are the best and the worst of the 2021 film cycle. We also hear from representatives from the Hollywood Film Critics Association, Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association, and Entertainment Weekly.
