The holiday break delivered a huge surge in COVID cases due to the omicron variant. From illness to societal impact, many are worried about what the next month or two has in store for us. Meanwhile, we continue to see studies that support the strength of our vaccines, including a study that indicates that the J&J Covid-19 vaccine booster protects people against severe illness from the omicron variant.

Parents and schools also continue to face challenges as well. The FDA approved booster shots at the 5 month mark for young individuals age 12 to 15 and a third shot for immunocompromised children age 5 to 12.

Additionally, concerns continue with testing, quarantine regulations, and understanding which masks are most effective.

In this episode, we cover the latest COVID headlines – from teen boosters to new quarantine guidelines.
