Dayna Steele was one of the top rock DJs in the country and made waves on Rock 101 KLOL.
Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Joan Jett, and many other rock legends knew her on a first-name basis.
Then, she became a best-selling author, a motivational speaker, an entrepreneur, a candidate for Congress, and, now, a playwright and a Broadway investor.
But, along her public journey, she also faced personal struggles.
One low point was her mother's battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She wrote her experiences and frustration of being a caretaker into a book, which is now being adapted into a play, The Woman in the Mirror.
Town Square spends the hour with Steele as she walks us through her career, legacy in radio, and new play.
Guest:
- Texas Radio Hall of Famer
- Broadway investor and producer
- Author of “Surviving Alzheimer’s With Friends, Facebook and a Really Big Glass of Wine,” which she has adapted into a new play, "The Woman in the Mirror: A Caregiver's Story of Love, Laughter and Wine" (Nov. 4 – 14 at The Match)
