Comicpalooza, the largest pop-culture convention in the Southern United States, is coming back to the George R. Brown convention center on July 17 – 18. Houston First walks Town Square through convention post-COVID safety protocols and the work it takes to organize an event for an estimated 45,000 attendees.

Ernie Manouse will host live interviews with Danny Trejo on Saturday, July 17th and Ron Perlman on Sunday, July 18th at Comicpalooza.

Before becoming an actor, the Machete star’s personal life looked like the hardened characters he plays today. Trejo shares how he came to this turning point in his new book, Trejo: My Life of Crime, Redemption, and Hollywood.

Brazos Bookstore is hosting a live virtual book event with Daniel Pena, moderating a conversation between Steve Buscemi and Danny Trejo on Wednesday, July 14, at 7:00 pm.
