She's best-known for winning "MasterChef: Season 3" with Gordon Ramsey in 2012.

Then, she went on to write the New York Times-best-selling cookbook "Recipes from My Home Kitchen: Asia and American Comfort Food."

She's also the owner of two restaurants: The Blind Goat and Xin Chao, which she opened during the pandemic.

And she's from Houston, Texas!

Today, Vietnamese American chef Christine Ha joins us to talk about Asian comfort food, her personal journey and the challenges of being a restaurant owner.

Listeners call in to share favorite Vietnamese and Asian comfort food dishes, as well as food stories and questions, with Chef Ha.

Houston Public Media reporter Matt Harab also joins Ernie with data from a new report by the UH Hobby School of Public Affairs that says impacts from the February winter storms in Texas were more severe in Harris County than in other parts of the state.
