As more and more people get vaccinated, the isolation of the pandemic is starting to lessen.

The CDC has updated guidelines for the fully-vaccinated, indicating that it's safe to gather in small groups indoors without masks with other vaccinated people.

Soon it might be safe to go out again, like we used to.

But, are you ready?

Some are excited, but others may be anxious.

What has a year of isolation done to us? What will it be like to re-enter society?

Today, mental health and medical experts talk about navigating social interactions and expectations, and the stress and safety concerns that come with it, post-pandemic.

Guests are:

Robert Snellgrove:

  • Houston psychotherapist

Dr. Susan McLellan:

  • Medical Director of the Biocontainment Treatment Unit
  • Director of Biosafety for Research-related Infectious Pathogens at UTMB Health

Houston Public Media reporter Matt Harab also joins Ernie with reactions from the local medical community about behaviors and safety as COVID restrictions lift and more Houstonians become vaccinated.

Town Square with Ernie Manouse is a gathering space for the community to come together and discuss the day's most important and pressing issues.

Audio from today’s show will be available after 5 p.m. CT. We also offer a free podcast here, on iTunes, and other apps.
