Town Square with Ernie Manouse is a gathering space for the community to come together and discuss the day’s most important and pressing issues.

For this episode, Ernie is joined by Fort Bend Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Charles Dupre, and Andy Dewey, Executive Vice President of the Houston Federation of Teachers, to discuss FBISD’s experiences with virtual learning, plans for getting students back into classrooms safely, and how teachers, students and parents meet the challenges of this unprecedented situation. The conversation coincides with the first day of virtual learning for the Houston Independent School District, which experienced some technical difficulties with its online learning platform.
