The Atlanta rock band Mattiel (named for its lead singer Mattiel Brown) has been touring steadily since before the release of its critically acclaimed 2019 album Satis Factory. The band is especially popular in Britain, where it was invited to perform at the renowned Glastonbury Festival last year. Mattiel visited Skyline Sessions in June of 2019, and then again this January, when the band was in Houston to kick off another round of American dates. They performed “Food For Thought” and “Blisters” (both from Satis Factory) as well as a special treat — a cover of The White Stripes’ “The Air Near My Fingers.”
