Skyline Sessions: Pecos Hank

Watch the Houston musician (and storm chaser) perform in the studio.

Pecos Hank is the stage persona of Hank Schyma, a Houston-based artist whose music explores the dark, moody and mysterious parts of the western mythos. He’s also an extreme-weather documentarian whose videos have been featured on BBC, National Geographic and The Weather Channel programs. Schyma, with Jo Bird on viola and Todd Sommer on bass, visited Skyline Sessions to record the original songs “La Malédiction de la Danse du Poulet” (inspired by the 1987 film Angel Heart) and the Tex-Mex-influenced “Sinful Refrain.”
