Live In Studio: OddKnee

The Houston rock band embraces humor and fun.

Rodney Chinelliott is a founding member of J.W. Americana, a kind of performance-art-party-band in which Chinelliott assumes the loose identity of “J.W.,” and which spawned an alter-ego drag act called The Wagner Sisters. OddKnee, with Tony Barilla (bass), Matt Harlan (guitar), Jeff McDonald (synth), Bill Savoie (drums) and Rachel Jones (vocals), visited Houston Public Media’s Geary Studio to record the songs “Hey Mamma,” “Hillamint,” and “Night Rats” — and also a little something about a cool guy named Karl.
