Live In Studio: The Jones Family Singers

Experience the contagious spirit of this Texas Gulf Coast gospel-soul-funk outfit.

The Jones Family Singers are an acclaimed family act led by Bishop Fred A. Jones, who presides over the congregation at The Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church in Markham, Texas. The group’s high-energy, gospel-soul-funk performances have moved audiences from SXSW to the Holy Land. In 2015, the band was the subject of filmmaker Alan Berg’s documentary The Jones Family Will Make a Way, which airs this month on Houston Public Media – TV 8.

The Jones Family Singers visited Houston Public Media’s Geary Studio to record the original songs “Down On Me”, “I Love You,” as well as a medley of Christmas songs.
