Cotton Jones is the name of the band Michael Nau and his wife Whitney McGraw have been writing and recording under for the past eight years, and along the way, songs and experiments have taken shape and been shelved. With his recent album Mowing, Nau has revisited and molded several of those packed-away gems for a solo collection of sun-dappled and bucolic melodies buoyed by his relaxed and sauntering vocal delivery. While on tour supporting the new album, Nau and pianist Will Brown visited Houston Public Media’s Geary Studio to record the song “Your Jewel.”
