Video: Greg Cote Performs Original Songs, Plus Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U”

The Houston singer-songwriter visited our Geary Studio in May.

Greg Cote is a singer-songwriter and actor based in Houston. His songs, which convey an emotionally open and outgoing persona, exorcising personal demons and laying bare impassioned philosophy, are usually performed solo and vigorously strummed on acoustic guitar. Cote visited Houston Public Media’s Geary Studio to record his original songs “Mandell Park” and “Convincing Myself,” as well as Prince’s 1984 hit “I Would Die 4 U,” the fourth single from the album Purple Rain, which Cote describes as “my favorite Prince song.”
