We present another installment of our series Skyline Sessions, a collection of performances recorded live in our Geary Studio, by the best musicians in Houston and beyond. Tonight’s episode features the Calliope String Quartet, performing the second movement of Samuel Barber’s String Quartet, a piece many will recognize from films like The Elephant Man, Platoon, and Gattaca. Adam Clay, founder of the Houston New Arts Movement, plays Claude Debussy’s hypnotic and evocative “Des Pas Sur La Neige” (“Footprints in the Snow”). Cast members perform a scene from Eado Lyric Theatre‘s production of Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. And Houston-based wind quintet WindSync perform a lush arrangement of Radiohead’s “Exit Music (For a Film).”

This episode airs tonight, Friday, April 15, at 8:30pm on TV 8.
