Skyline Sessions is back with another compilation of masterful musical performances recorded at Houston Public Media’s Geary Performance Studio. In this episode, Eric Halen and Scott Holshouser of the Houston Symphony and the Musica Tra Amici chamber group play a movement from Ravel’s 2nd Violin Sonata. Members of Houston’s St. Cecilia Chamber Music Society perform the second movement of Mozart’s well-known Kegelstatt Trio. The Apollo Chamber Players offer an excerpt from a new work they commissioned from Turkish composer Erberk Eryilmaz. Countertenor John Holiday performs a moving rendition of the Handel aria “Stille Amare” from Tolomeo. And twenty-one boy choristers from the Choir of St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, sing the work the Cathedral commissioned in 2012 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Catch the episode on Wednesday, Sept 23, 11pm, on TV 8.
