And a representative from the The American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region tells us about recent blood shortages in the area.

Also this hour: We check in with Kam Franklin and other members of The Suffers. We hear their new single, Don't Bother Me, which it out today and discuss some of what's happening in Houston's music scene these days. Kam was also at the Grammys last weekend, and her newest project, Bayou City Comeback Chorus, makes its premiere at the Art Car Ball Friday.

And we visit the Rice University baseball program’s new high-tech pitching lab.
