On Monday’s Houston Matters: In a ruling late last week, the U.S. Supreme Court said that Texas abortion providers can sue over the state's controversial new law banning most abortions but allowed the law itself to remain in effect. And that wasn't the only court ruling last week over the law. We learn the latest on the ongoing state and federal challenges to it.

Also this hour: A new investigation by the Houston Chronicle shows how much religious leaders in Texas are avoiding in taxes on their homes.

Then, we learn about the Atlas Scholars program and efforts to empower people of color in the future of the energy industry.

And we get an update on Houston sports.
