Students have begun returning to school in recent weeks, and, while parents, educators, and even health experts have expressed their thoughts on going into the new academic year, the students have their own concerns, aspirations, and opinions on the world around them.

Much of that is explored in the new Hulu documentary Homeroom, which is the subject of The Bigger Picture, the monthly Houston Matters film segment.

In the audio above, producer Joshua Zinn talks about the film and the issues in it with Tish Stringer from the Rice Film Program and Bailey Slatton, a senior at Clear Lake High School.
