A family physician and an ICU doctor discuss COVID-19 and answer listeners’ questions.

 

Our special edition of Houston Matters weekdays at 3 p.m. addresses your questions and concerns about important issues affecting the community.

In the first half, host Ernie Manouse is joined by Dr. Brian Reed, a family physician and Chair of the Clinical Sciences Department at the University of Houston's College of Medicine. Dr. Reed discusses the current state of the pandemic, including the change in the way Texas tallies COVID deaths. He also talks about the goals of UH's new medical school.

Joining the second half is Dr. Zachary Dreyfuss, a pulmonary and critical care physician in Dallas. Dr. Dreyfuss shares his experiences as an ICU doctor treating COVID patients, and he also addresses safety protocol and other issues from the frontlines.
