Then, Ernie is joined by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner to discuss the COVID situation in Houston and the need for mitigation efforts to slow the current surge of infections. Mayor Turner also addresses rent assistance, as well as his recent decision to cancel the Texas Republican Convention that was scheduled to be held at downtown Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center beginning on July 16.
