The Full Menu: Houston’s Best Places For Dine-In And Takeout During The Pandemic

Local food writers discuss which restaurants are doing the best with safety precautions — and food — amid COVID-19.

Restaurant patrons and employees alike might miss the good old days of packed cafes, bustling bars, and boisterous conversations among friends and family over shared meals. But, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic marches on, putting all of that on hold for the time being.

But, while some establishments have ignored the realities of the public health emergency enough to land themselves on Mayor Sylvester Turner's Wall Of Shame list, others have gone the extra mile installing Plexiglas shields to limit airflow between tables and making sure all employees are wearing masks.

It’s those kinds of places that our group of local food writers highlight on this month's edition of The Full Menu.

Panelists Eric Sandler of CultureMap Houston, Felice Sloan of the Swanky Maven lifestyle blog, and David Leftwich of Houston Food Finder talk about some of the places in Greater Houston they’ve felt the most comfortable eating at during the pandemic along with some takeout suggestions.
