Fears over the coronavirus have caused some financial suffering for restaurants in Chinatown. So, local food writers discuss their favorite places to eat there in this month’s installment of The Full Menu.

While there are still no confirmed cases of the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19 in the region, fears of it have impacted Houston’s Chinatown neighborhood.

Businesses there — restaurants especially — have been suffering financially for a few weeks now. There’s no good reason for it, but it’s happened.

And, of course, the term Chinatown is a colloquialism. The area is home to Asian culture and food from numerous countries, including China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Koreas, just to name a few.
