Houston Matters

Full Show: Which Candidates Will Attend Houston Debate, And How We Define Justice (Aug. 29, 2019)

On Thursday’s Houston Matters: We learn who’s eligible for the Houston presidential debate, former judges define justice, a homeowner talks about their recovery two years after Harvey, and a local church takes feeding the hungry to another level.

On Thursday’s Houston Matters: When the Democratic Presidential candidates debate at Texas Southern University on Sept. 12, only ten of them are invited to take part. We learn who’s eligible and why, and we discuss what they need to do to gain voter support.

Also this hour: We ask three current and former judges to share their thoughts on justice and how it’s doled out in Texas courts. Then, we meet a Houston homeowner still recovering two years after Harvey.

And a local church packs 100,000 lunches for hungry Houstonians in just two hours.
