After dropping two of three in an interleague series against the Pirates, the Houston Astros swept the last place Seattle Mariners this weekend.

Plus, six Astros are headed to the All-Star Game next week. That's the most of any team. Pitchers Gerrit Cole, Ryan Pressly, and Justin Verlander made the team along with outfielders George Springer and Michael Brantley and third baseman Alex Bregman.

And the U.S. women's soccer team takes on England in a World Cup semifinal match Tuesday afternoon after defeating host France 2-1 on Friday.

In the audio above, sports writer Jeff Balke updates us on those and other Houston sports stories. He writes for Houston Press and Houstonia.
