On Tuesday’s Houston Matters: Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg wants money to hire additional prosecutors and investigators. Harris County Commissioners Court is considering her request. Ogg joins us to explain exactly what she wants to do.

And, the last time Ogg sought more prosecutors was in February when she requested an additional $20 million to do so. Commissioners turned her down. But that was then – this is now – and the request today is for far less. We hear more from reporter Keri Blakinger who covers criminal justice for the Houston Chronicle.

Also this hour: We discuss why we become so emotionally attached to brands and chains, and the "sense of place" they can create.

Then, we welcome your questions, comments and examples of the ever-changing world of the English language.
