On Tuesday’s Houston Matters: As the Southern Baptist Convention begins in Alabama, church leaders say addressing sexual abuse within Southern Baptist churches is one of their top priorities. The meeting follows a Houston Chronicle investigation examining the extent of abuse complaints in the group’s churches. We check in with Chronicle investigative reporter Lise Olsen.

Then, News 88.7's Laura Isensee walks us through the final version of HB3, the school finance reform bill, Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to sign into law today.

Also this hour: Grace Gibson of Live Nation talks about efforts to showcase more female music acts in Houston. And, we talk with members of the LGBTQ community about how they are portrayed in film and television and ways studios should continue to seek improvement in their representation.
