On Wednesday’s Houston Matters: As the Houston Professional Fire Fighter’s Association and Mayor Sylvester Turner’s administration continue negotiations over voter-mandated pay raises, city council members today are scheduled to consider and vote on laying off 220 firefighters in order to pay for it. That comes as the city has already laid off dozens of firefighters and municipal employees. We check in on the latest out of city hall.
