On Wednesday’s Houston Matters: As the Houston Professional Fire Fighter's Association and Mayor Sylvester Turner's administration continue negotiations over voter-mandated pay raises, city council members today are scheduled to consider and vote on laying off 220 firefighters in order to pay for it.
