For many veterans, adjusting to civilian life after being in the service can be a challenge, and there are a number of organizations that try to help with that transition.

In Greater Houston, one of them is Warriors in Art, a nonprofit that provides weekly art instruction for veterans. The purpose of the classes is to offer space where veterans can express themselves and feel comfortable readjusting to civilian life alongside fellow vets.
