How Houston Institutions Protect Against Sexual Abuse

In the wake of recent sex abuse scandals, what can area institutions do to better protect their members?

Amid the release of names by the Catholic church of priests credibly accused of sexual abuse and a report by the Houston Chronicle and San Antonio Express-News investigating Southern Baptist Convention leaders accused or convicted of sex crimes, we examine how such instances occur and what can be done to prevent them in the future.

In the audio above, we talk with Rev. Laura MayoThomas Franklin, and Dr. Richard Anthony Baker, representatives of three organizations that have established internal policies designed to protect against future abuse and establish clear reporting protocols, including an area scouting organization and a religious organization.
