Earlier this month, Houston City Council approved plans to renovate the Memorial Park Golf Course, enabling the park to host the PGA Tour's Houston Open by 2020.
Renovations were expected to begin right after city council members approved the plans. The Astros Golf Foundation is paying $13.5 million to redevelop the course.
