In his book, Making Up Your Own Mind, educator Edward Burger provides some real-life verbal and visual drills to help you better solve challenges. Burger is the president of Southwestern University in Georgetown, and the book is based on a course he teaches. He also co-hosts a series on KUT called Higher Ed, which explores topics related to higher education.
In the audio above, he tells Houston Matters producer Michael Hagerty about how the journey of solving a problem is often more important than the solution itself and about the importance of intentionally failing at a task.
Burger will hold an event at Brazos Bookstore on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m.
