A lot can happen in a week, some of it good. Some of it bad. Some of it downright ugly. When faced with intriguing developments in the week's news, we turn to a rotating panel of non-experts to parse The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly of it all.

This week, our panel weighs in on these stories:

  • In Virginia, The Roanoke Times filed an unprecedented lawsuit in federal court against a former sports reporter over his Twitter account. The Times wants "both access and rights to its content" because it represents "company-owned information assets." The reporter is now working for a Times competitor.
  • We have dozens of free outdoor movies showing at a variety of venues around town this summer, but the Galleria area will soon have movies on the roof.

Our panel of non-experts this week includes:

  • Marco Roberts, president of the Log Cabin Republicans of Houston
  • Monica Flores Richart, attorney and community education advocate
  • Jack Young, University of Houston theatre professor
