A Is For Astronaut - Book CoverRetired astronaut Clayton Anderson has written a children’s book called A is for Astronaut: Blasting Through the Alphabet.

The story takes readers on an alphabetical journey from A to Z through topics related to NASA’s history, science, and space travel. The book includes a short poem for each alphabetical entry, as well as tidbits of extra information.

Anderson will read the book at an event at the Barnes & Noble in the River Oaks Shopping Center on Aug. 11 at 11 a.m.

Ahead of the event, Joshua Zinn spoke with Anderson about his childhood interest in space travel, his experiences aboard the ISS, and what led him to write this book.
